Chief Justice of India Recusal Letter 2

URGENT

12 April, 2014

To
Hon'ble Mr. Justice R.M. Lodha,
Supreme Court of India,
New Delhi.

SUBJECT:  RECUSAL OF THE CHIEF JUSTICE OF INDIA FROM THE CURATIVE PETITION ON SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT DATED 11 DECEMBER, 2013 ON SECTION 377 OF THE INDIAN PENAL CODE

Respected Sir,

Please find enclosed our letters dated 12 February, 2014 and 4 April, 2014 addressed to the Chief Justice of India on the above subject. The Chief Justice of India had publicly opined filing of a Curative Petition on Section 377, Indian Penal Code, knowing fully well that such a petition would come up before him. In the interest of justice and fair play, we request you to ensure that either the abovementioned Curative Petition is listed for hearing after his retirement on 26 April, 2014 or he recuses himself from the Petition.

Yours sincerely,

(Dr. Paramjit Singh)
